Who is Portable?
Habeeb Okikiola widely recognised as Portable and Dr Zeh is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter born 12 March 1994 from Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Portable became a popular figure in the music industry when Olamide and PocoLee featured on his song ‘Zazoo Zehh’.
Though Portable is an artist, much people don’t know him as one. A lot of people think he’s just a social media sensation because he’s mostly on the news for calling people out, especially celebrities and music colleagues who hurt or scam him. He once mentioned that there are even artists who reached out to him asking that they pretend to be fighting on social media just for clout but Portable refused.
Portable’s net worth is estimated to be $300,000.00 (three hundred thousand US dollars) which is equivalent to 272,637,095.10 NGN (two hundred seventy-two million six hundred thirty-seven thousand ninety-five naira 10 kobo). His net worth grew as a result of music streams, endorsements, live show performance, and jingle production.
Portable’s family
Parents and siblings
Much information is not available about Portable’s parents though it was confirmed that he bought his father a car on the 9th of February 2022. In the video he made presenting the car, he said, “Zazu don buy motor for papa. Hustle o, believe in yourself and believe in God, any disappointment is a blessing.”
Much is also not known about Portable’s siblings except that he has a sister which he put on the spotlight after she was attacked by his old friend whom he claimed to be envious of his success. After the incident, the news has it that Portable moved his family out of Nigeria for safety.
Portable’s girlfriend or wife and children

Everybody knows Portable has more than one wife but we really can’t say how many they are because Portable once mentioned that he will not let the public know all his wives. This section of this article only covers the number of children, wives and baby mamas Portable has publicly announced.
- Ewatomi Omobewaji also known as Olori: she is Portable’s first wife and has two sons, Iyanuoluwa and Opeyemi, with Portable.
- Honey Berry: Honey is one of Portable’s baby mama. She has a son Akorede with Portable.
- Nollywood actress, Akinyanju Omobolarinde also known as Ashabi: Ashabi bore Portable a son and they later got married during their son’s naming ceremony.
- Ogo Oluwa: Ogo is Portable’s son though the public doesn’t know his mother. It even appears Ogo is Portable’s first child as he is older than the rest. The lad is in the care of Ewatomi, Portable’s first wife.
From the above information, you can tell that Portable has five sons. However he argues against that saying he has six sons. When the sixth boy is revealed, we’ll update this article accordingly.
Portable’s educational background
Portable had his nursery, primary, and secondary school education in Ogun State. He refused to go to the university because he believed in his ability to make music and decided to pursue only what he wanted.
8 questions and answers on Portable’s life
Is it true that Portable called out artists for always singing about women?
Oh yes he did, but he didn’t mean that artists shouldn’t sing about women. Here’s an explanation from him regarding that statement, “…now they only give award to people who sing about women, they don’t give awards to people who praise God again. They advised me to praise God if I want to collect award in the music industry and I’ve been doing that. Take for example, ‘God Abeg o, who go help o, my strength no pass poverty o’ is that no good music? But some people will say rubbish and cut and join. Music is business, music is story, you have to tell those story. Music is call and response. In one line some artist will say ‘God I need money o, ah my baby oku’ but you can see that those two lines don’t relate. How can you be begging God and begging woman at the same time? “
Does Portable believe in the trend ‘fake it till you make it’?
It appears Portable does not buy into that idea and here’s why from his own perspective, he said,‘…that’s fake life in music. Some people don’t even post their reality talk more of singing reality. Some artists have not even posted their reality in the last six months, how will they sing about their reality when fake life wants to kill them? So if you fake it till you make it, how will you replicate the success? I don’t fake, I stay real till I make it”.
What does Portable think about the love the street shows him?
Portable is convinced to the fullest that the streets have genuine love for him. He proved this by saying, “…when I didn’t have a car and was trekking; they were calling me star, when I bought a car; they were calling me star, even when I park my car and trek; they still call me star. If I spray money; they call me star, even when I don’t; they still call me star. This is real love”.

Is it true that Portable is ungrateful to those who helped him rise to stardom?
We really can’t stamp a yes or no to this question. Just analyse what Portable said in an interview in response to a similar question and then, make of it what you understand.
“If they help you to the top and they see that you’ll become a star, they’ll find a way to drag you down. They’ll drain you of your earning and move on to the next artist. I even helped some of these people but once they make it and other people want to come to me for help or want to help me, they’ll bill them and act like they are my middle man while they are not.
As an artist, your song becomes a hit and you’re now recognised but when you want to shop you have to shop for ten other people. The public will think these people are helping you meanwhile you’re the one helping them.
Olamide helped me. Anybody that will help me will not stress me. It’s only Baddo that helped me. Don’t tap from my glory, help me in reality if you want to help me.
Kogbagidi is also my helper. He’s my promoter and he treats me like a son. He advises me, he’s the one that told me how the industry operates. Kogbagidi doesn’t take my money, he is my helper. Even when his friends encouraged him to take some money from me; he didn’t.
My major problem was even with my manager and DJ. We all came from the trenches but I was determined to build them up with my own money. Other artists would have left them in the trenches after fame but I didn’t. Some people were even telling me to chase them away but I refused. I brought them into the industry so I wanted to help them stand. Back then, I didn’t even have a bank account so all my show money was going to their account. When I want to do giveaway and I tell them to transfer three hundred thousand, they’ll cut it and I wouldn’t even know. When I go to the boutique, I go with them and they’ll pack so many stuff. Kogbagidi will complain and advise me to buy a house alongside other properties.
Kogbagidi even takes me out to buy clothes but these boys will never support. Even after I splitted with the boys, they still managed to ruin my relationship with Kogbagidi because they were still managing my all my communications and responding to calls and messages.
Now I don’t have access to Kogbagidi again. The boys that I was doing my all to help were destroying me from behind. If I go to show and they pay 3.5 million, these boys will tell me it’s 2 million and I’ll still give them something from the 2 million. They’ll loan me 1 million and add interest of 200 thousand but from that 1 million, I’ll buy them food and take care of them.
That is how artists are drained. We’ll make money but our family will not see anything from us. I started making changes when my girlfriend back then advised me to buy a land. Then I opened my own account”.
Does Portable think he needs security considering that he’s often attacked in the street?
It makes sense that he gets some security for himself but Portable really doesn’t see the need to. From his own perspective, it’s God that protects. He believes that even the security men can turn against him. Moreover, he feels security cannot follow him everywhere so he limits his use of security to shows alone.
How did Portable meet and sign his artists?
Portable has known his artists especially Young Duu and Bolisco since his early days when he used to trek from Agege to Sango to record at the studio. He usually met these young boys at the studio and would usually give them the little money he had on him. Portable would even go as far as telling them that he would sponsor their music. All he required from them was their prayers so that God will help him.
As God had it, Portable came to limelight, he came across Bolisco on the road and wanted to give him money – thirty thousand naira precisely – but Bolisco responded by saying he didn’t need the money that he wanted to go with Portable. Without hesitation, Portable took Bolisco in though he didn’t even know his parents.
During one of their visits to the studio, they came across Young Duu. As usual, Portable embraced him too.
What’s the issue between Portable and PocoLee?
Portable revealed that he was invited to a show which Wizkid and other big names graced. During his performance Wizkid sprayed him money and PocoLee picked the money. Portable thought he was picking the money for him but that was not the case. PocoLee took the money so Portable called him out on social media and it became an issue.
What’s the issue between Portable and Seyi Vibez?
From Portable’s account, Seyi begged him to come perform at his show and he did without asking for anything in return. Portable said he even sprayed five hundred thousand naira at the show, got injured, and was robbed of his neck jewelry yet he didn’t react.
When Portable had his own show at the shrine, he invited Seyi Vibez but was ignored without a response to the message.
Portable says that it’s this incident that pissed him off towards Seyi.
In addition to that, Portable was also upset that his award was given to Seyi Vibez. According to him, HipTv only wanted publicity so they nominated him but later gave the award to Seyi.

Awards and recognitions
In 2022, Portable was nominated for two categories (Best Street Artist and Rookie of the Year) at the 15th Headies Award but was disqualified owing to his behavior. The organizers of the Headies, Smooth Promotions Limited, disclosed in a statement saying, “The decision to disqualify Mr Okikiola is accentuated by series of misdemeanors by Mr Okikiola via his social media platforms.
We shall not condone reckless and uncouth statements from artists and hereby disassociate ourselves from any individual linked to such assembly or activities linked to him as described,” the Headies said.
“The music industry demands all-round excellence. it is extremely important for young artists being potential role models to exude professional responsibility, proper decorum and have respect for others”.
Early in May, Portable had threatened to go after Seyi Vibez if the organizers of Headies gave the award to Seyi. A video also trended showing Portable while he physically assaulted someone.
It was on these grounds that Portable was disqualified.
